Blown away

The Press day at Blow was like walking in to a psychedelic fairytale. If you are looking for a knitted cupcake jumper (Fam Irvoll) crystal shoulder pads (Dean Sidaway) or a peeled banana gag (Piers Atkinson) you are at the right place! Blow is without doubt on of the most exiting press offices in London and a great platform for up and coming designers. Their friendly team are always helpful and full of knowledge about their clients. Look out for Iris Van Herpen Asger Juel Larsen and Lina Osterman

The Singer Getaway

On my oh so early Xmas list is this beautiful handcrafted leather bag(top) from bergen based design genius T-Micheal . Perfect for carrying around your laptop this stylish bag comes in British racing green,Oxblood and Ebony.

Powerful and feminine from Amstrup

Together with silk,soft chiffons,cotton and wools the Danish born designer Louise Amstrup has created a strong S/S09 collection worth checking out. The designer graduated from Akedemie motedesign in 2003 before training with Alexander McQueen. She has had her own label since 2006.

Poltock&Walsh

Kate Moss is only one of Poltock&Walsh high profiled fans. The young label has already achieved a big following in by fashionistas in London. Fiamma Poltock and Katie Walsh met studying Fashion design at Kingston University. Poltock&Walsh formed their own label in 2006.

Fantastic Fred

I was blown away by Fred Butlers showcase at Cube Companies press day today. Amazing accessories in futuristic 3D shapes,"Hibiscus Ridiculous" is an explosion of color and craft and I am hoping to get my hands on some of the graphic pieces for my next shoot.

Look out for designer Dean Quinn, with his focus on sharp tailoring and sculpted shoulders this northern Irish Central Saint Martins graduate seems to be the one to watch!

Hidden gem

Easy to miss when walking down Berwick street in Soho, Digitaria is located in a beautiful old 1950s tailor shop. Creative brain behind the shop is designer and journalist Stavros Karelis. Influenced by Arabic culture and sixties Roman couture,Tisci sent out draped dresses,graphic jackets,amazing harem pants with leggings,wedges and bags matching the kaffiyeh referenced print.

The queen of chic knitwear has teamed up with Swedish giant H&M to produce not only one but two collections together. First out an underwear collection (December 5th) then a knitwear collection out the 10th of February next year. Happy days!

Amazing and bizarre from Kapoor

This is Svayambh by artist Anish Kapoor. A 40-ton block of wax and vaseline mounted on rails is exhibited at the Royal Academy in London at the minute. This incredible piece of art plus several others from the Turner prize winning artist will be showcased here until December. Anish Kapoor (born 12 March 1954) is a sculptor born in Bombay but has lived and worked in London since the early 1970s royalacademy

Model crush

Met one of my favorite models Freja Beha Erichsen after the Julian McDonald show in London last week. The friendly Dane has all ready done shows for Gucci, Burberry, Prada and Versace (under) this week and will be doing more big names in Milan and Paris the following days.
