Jenna Theo Elliot Athinson Mario Schwab Basso&Broke Roksanda Ilincic LFW has been full of contrast and alternatives preparing us for an exiting fashion spring.(this does not include the hair styling as 80% of the shows had models sporting the same slicked back hairdo) Mario Schwab had been working towards finding a "new way of looking at bohemian dressing" with pale peach dress,organza pantsuit Basso& Broke gave us print galore, while Roksanda Ilinici presented forties Hollywood glamor.

'Real-sized" for Fast

London based knitwear designer Mark Fast gave his audience a wakeup call when he sent "real-sized" models down the runway in his teenie weenie knitted dresses. The knitwear designers stylist(Erika Kurihara from iD) walked out on him just hours before the show for reasons that are still unknown...... Well done for using healthy,curvaceous woman! more bras next time though please..

Black&Beige for 2010

Combining beige and black has been on the celebrity hit list this spring (see top) The trend continued on catwalks in NY this week..here are some favorites from Marc Jacobs,Thakoon, Elise Overland and Derek Lam.

With the backing of Fashion East and New Generation, the Central Saint Martin graduate is getting ready to wow the fashion crowd next week. Van Der Hams last collection, inspired 70s Andy Warhol, was such a big hit that Matches asked him to design three exclusive dresses for them! Watch this space

Schmidt has exhibited in galleries such as Peres Projects in LA and Saatchi gallery in London The 27 year old Canadian is also become a regular in the NY fashion scene and will be spotted front row on several shows this week
